Slæ̈rn Ghēkái-zäp (/fuˈsi/ /zɑp/ [hard; solid; sturdy] [education]) is a subtropical Large City located in the Slïrddáms Principality of the Cochi.

The name Slæ̈rn Ghēkái-zäp is derived from the Sylvin language, as Slæ̈rn Ghēkái-zäp was founded by Dúiel̄, who was culturaly Gnoll.

Climate

Slæ̈rn Ghēkái-zäp has a yearly average temperature of 6°C (42°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a cool 19°C (66°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a freezing -7°C (20°F). Slæ̈rn Ghēkái-zäp receives an average of 237 cm/y (93 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of snow during the brutaly long winter months. Overview

Slæ̈rn Ghēkái-zäp was founded durring the early 14th century in fall of the year 1318, by Dúiel̄. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.

Slæ̈rn Ghēkái-zäp was built using the conventions of Gnoll durring the early 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Slæ̈rn Ghēkái-zäp is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Slæ̈rn Ghēkái-zäp is buildings are arranged within a network of narrow cobblestone streets which form a rectangular grid, where each block verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller block has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The city sits behind a stone-renforced palisade wall, with stone gatehouses and timber drawbridges for their trench. Slæ̈rn Ghēkái-zäp's would-be-castle fortifications are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the city as needed.

Cultural Notes

The locals have cut a deal with some unspeakable entity, trading some form of tribute (benign of horrific) in exchange for the being’s forbearance or assistance. Outsiders may be ignorant of the bargain, or they may know that the community is in thrall but be too fearful of its master to take action against them. The creature likely serves as a protector as well as a tyrant, so the locals may be content with the deal even if it doesn’t offer any further inducement or aid.

Slæ̈rn Ghēkái-zäp's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is inspired by the natural world, characterized by sinuous, sculptural, organic shapes, arches, curving lines, and sensual ornamentation. Common motifs included stylized versions of leaves, flowers, vines, insects, animals, and other natural elements. Decorative elements found on the inside and outside of buildings include intricate mosaic work, curved windows, and decorative trim work. .

In Slæ̈rn Ghēkái-zäp sometimes, near one of the seasonal solstices, the sun appears to split into three and it rains from a clear sky for several hours.
